The DEVIANToronto munch is one of Toronto’s largest kink/BDSM community munches. This munch is open to adults of all ages, abilities, orientations, genders, gender identities and expressions. New people are encouraged to come out and we work hard to make it a welcoming and safe environment for people of all persuasions and experience levels. It is a fabulous place to meet like-minded people, and to learn about the BDSM lifestyle in all its different facets.
Our mandate is to provide a welcoming, open, consent culture driven, discussion environment for those in kink/BDSM, polyamorous, and other sex-positive communities, to exchange ideas, news, information, concepts, histories, experiences, and opinions.
The Deviant munch is a social/community based event and we do our best to maintain that focus. While people do meet and start relationships at our munch, it is not the focus of our group. Basically come prepared for discussion and socializing with like-minded people, which are the main reasons for the munch.
If you have any questions or concerns about accessibility, please check out our Accessibility Policy and/or ask one of the hosts.
Recently we have seen anywhere from 10-15 people per month who are new to the munch. Given that we are seeing an influx, here is a little note if you are going to be attending for the first time.
We have a reserved section in the venue so that we can have some division between our group and the other patrons. Look for people wearing name tags – that’s us.
There will be name tags on a table at the entrance to our section, and we ask that you use the tags to identify yourself (real name, FetLife nick, scene name, superhero name, your choice). This is more for the wait staff to keep track of you through the night as you may wander from your seat, but it also helps in socialization and putting faces to FetLife nicks and names.
Please introduce yourself to one of the hosts, and we will take care to answer any of your questions, address any concerns, and seat you with some good people. We will also periodically check in on you through the evening. If you have any questions beforehand, please feel free to message the DEVIANToronto admin, or one of the individual hosts, on FL.
The best time for you to arrive is between 7 and 7:30. This gives us a chance to seat you with people that we know can help you with information, as well as give you enough time to sit, eat and converse. Then when most meals are done and people start mingling, you are not on your own facing a large group of strangers.
